WHAT WE DO:
We provide tailored, evidence-based treatment for anxiety, disruptive behavior, ADHD, OCD, depression, and selective mutism. Our clinicians also support individuals and families experiencing life stressors and transitions.
-
We provide diagnostic evaluations prior to beginning treatment or as a standalone service. This process informs our recommendations and allows us to thoughtfully collaborate with patients to plan next steps. Evaluations are individualized but may include: patient interview, parent interview, behavioral observations, questionnaires, and outreach to teachers and service providers (with permission).
-
Our approach to individual therapy includes evidence-based strategies that are tailored to patients’ unique challenges and areas of strength. The recommended length and frequency of sessions varies based on need.
-
There are built-in advantages of a group format that are uniquely valuable to the treatment process. Groups allow patients to experience therapy alongside others with similar goals. They also offer a sense of connection, as well as a safe environment to discuss and practice skills in real time.
-
We support parents by providing education and tools for improving their child’s social-emotional functioning and reducing conflict. Depending on the child’s age and presenting concern, we may recommend standalone parent training as the gold-standard approach. Parenting sessions can also be used to supplement a child’s individual therapy. The initial diagnostic evaluation will inform the extent to which parent involvement in treatment is recommended.
-
PCIT is an evidence-based treatment for children ages 2 through 7 with disruptive behavior. It has been adapted to treat other conditions, as well. Parents are coached during interactions with their child in real time, using a bug-in-the-ear system. This live coaching allows for immediate, targeted feedback from the provider, which makes PCIT a highly effective approach to addressing areas of concern.
-
Children are most successful when parents, teachers, and service providers are aligned and collaborative. We work with educators and school administrators to address classroom-based concerns and meet therapeutic needs across settings.
